What does the checker look at?
It fetches the page's HTML and reads the title, meta description, keywords, author, robots directives, canonical link, viewport, charset, every og: and twitter: property, the html lang attribute, and any JSON-LD blocks.
Why was my URL rejected?
Only public http and https pages can be analyzed. URLs that resolve to private, loopback or link-local addresses are refused, because a server that fetches arbitrary internal addresses is a security hole.
Can I check a page behind a login?
No. The checker fetches the page anonymously, so it sees what a search engine crawler sees. A page requiring authentication will return its login page instead.
Does a perfect score guarantee rankings?
No. This grades the tags themselves — length, presence, and correctness. Rankings also depend on content quality, links, page speed and dozens of other signals no tag checker can see.
